One of my favorite things about fall and winter style (other than being able to wear my white knee high boots 24/7, lol) is the outer wear!! As basic as I know it sounds, fall and winter are my absolute favorite seasons for style. I live for knee high boots, fab sweaters, leather pants, and all the faux fur and fabulous jackets that I can find. Last winter my husband told me I had a “jacket hoarding” problem, and I’m expecting that "problem" to only be amplified this season w
Can I get a huge high five for fall, ya'll? (sending virtual hive-fives all around!) Now that the weather has FINALLY dropped below 70 in DC, I'm pumped for all the clothing, shoes, and accessories to go with it- sweaters, denim, OTK boots, scarves, and TWEED print! Since I've peeped tweed, windowpane, and plaid suits all over the NYFW street style scene for the past two seasons, I'm telling you its going to be huge this fall and into winter. And to be honest, I can't get eno
It’s been 6 months since I have started using the Trunk Club styling service and all I have to say about it, is I’m obsessed. Trunk Club is a personal styling service and falls under the Nordstrom brand. My experience using Trunk Club so far has been incredible for a few reasons. The first, is the personalized styling. My stylist, Kirby, has been amazing in getting to know my style and sends me unique pieces and has introduced me to new brands I wouldn’t have otherwise found.
Perhaps you recall that lavender wide leg suit I wore time and time again last spring. The suit I'm referring to was a huge hit among ELOQUII fans and I heard from a little bird that its coming out in more colors soon (eeeek!!). While I'm waiting on one of my favorite suits I've ever owned to drop in more colors, I've taken it upon myself to explore other ELOQUII suits, as I'm seeing power suits to be hot Hot HOT this fall/winter. I don't own enough coordinating suits, so rec
While we had a little taste of spring weather last week, the temps are back to frigid cold and from the looks of the weather forecast, its likely to stay this way on the cooler side for a bit. I honestly can't say I'm upset about the cold - call me crazy but I prefer cooler temps over the extreme heat any day. One reason I like the cold weather is the accessories that come with it. Hats, scarves, gloves, and coats. I love accessorizing for winter as its an added layer of styl
I recently did something that I recommend for every blogger to do- I scrolled back to some of my first ever social media posts and went through some of my original content. When I did my website redesign last February, I had to manually move over each blog post, word for word, image for image, to the new site. In doing this, it made me look at 2+ year old content, some of which was just downright terrible. I strategically left some of my original posts off the redesigned blog
As a blogger, part of my job is to introduce you to new brands. Today for Fab Friday I’m introducing a fab new brand that I only was introduced to recently over Instagram. The brand is CURRENTLY, a clothing brand for women sizes 14-32 that specializes in classic and designer quality dresses.
I’ve been working with the brand to test out the dresses first hand. I have tried three of their dresses and so far my favorite thing about them is the fabric and the way the silhouette
Hahaha, you all know I had to title this post with a pun! Today's post is total pearl-fection, staring a trend item that is quickly gaining traction- pearls. Pearl embellishments are popping up everywhere recently, and I'm not mad about it. Being born in June, the pearl is my birthstone <well one of them, I guess Gemini's get 2 gemstones, lol> and I find pearls to be beautiful and their creation in oysters is unique and intriguing to me. I started to notice the pearl trend ov
Halloween has passed, Thanksgiving is right around the corner, and stores are already decked out in holiday spirit. I know some people get so annoyed with Christmas displays popping up before Thanksgiving, but in all honesty- I love it. In addition to the glittering holiday displays in stores, the clothing racks are packed with all things sequin and glitzy- my absolute fave. Sequins has always been a favorite of mine, and I love how much sequin is embraced for the holidays.
One month ago, I had the awesome experience of working with Ellos and Full Beauty Brands in upstate New York. I worked with Ellos back in August for The Hamptons Dinner Party, and I was so excited to be working with the brand again on this fall campaign. For the fall campaign, I hit the road from NYC to New Paltz, NY with Alison Gary of Wardrobe Oxygen, Alex LaRosa, Shay Neary, and model Carine Calixte to capture the perfect fall day. I had never been to upstate NY, so this w
Last week I was talking about how much I love leopard print, and this week I'm dishing about another style fave- bodysuits. Cue up the 80's dance music, because todays post is inspired by this throwback style. While bodysuits have been around for some time- especially popular for dancers and athletes, they reached their height of fame in the 80's and early 90's when designers like Donna Karan introduced them as a fashion trend. I can still envision Cindy Crawford in that whit
To piggy back on my FAB Friday post from three weeks ago, I recently had the pleasure of checking out Stitch Fix. Stitch Fix is a subscription based monthly styling service that is catered to your personal style. When you register for Stitch Fix, you fill out a style survey that includes your likes/dislikes, and gives you the option to prioritize certain apparel. I decided to utilize Stitch Fix to focus on tops and sweaters, as tops are something I lack in my closet. I have d
