Yesterday's Saturday Street Style took place at The Kennedy Center before seeing the American Ballet Theatre's performance of Cinderella. The Kennedy Center holds a special place in my heart because it is what introduced me to theatre at a young age. I still remember seeing The Phantom of the Opera at The Kennedy Center when I was just a kid and I was hooked on the arts ever since and listened to my Phantom of the Opera tape until it broke! I also deeply respect that it is a living memorial to President John F. Kennedy and love that we have such a wonderful performing arts venue here in DC.
My look:
The staple of my Saturday Street Style look is my brand new custom ZOPHIA skirt! I was in the mood for a classic, yet edgy look so I paired the classic power skirt with a sheer lace top and cami, topped with my favorite studded moto jacket and DVF heart booties to add the edgy element. The thing I love about my new ZOPHIA skirt is how it can be dressed up or dressed down, can translate from professional to edgy, and is always in style! AND I feel like a million bucks in it!
To get the edgy chic look, try pairing a more classic piece with a leather moto jacket, jewelry like stacked necklaces, midi rings, and thick cuffed bracelets; and don't forget the shoes- booties, heels or flats with studs, spikes, or a cool fun design are always a must!
