"I'm as free as my hair!"

Cue up Hair by Lady Gaga! Today's FAB Friday post is all about hair. I am always looking for new styles and ways to do my hair, especially for mornings when I may be running a little late (which is pretty much every morning). I have spent a lot of time searching pinterest for new hair styling ideas and while yes, there are a ton of options, most are a little too advanced for me or my fine hair won't hold the style. I recently found one that is SO easy and quick to do and requires next to nothing in terms of hair ties, bobby pins, hair spray, etc. All you need is a stylish embellished headband with elastic bottom and yourself! Here's the tutorial:

What you'll need:

-Embellished headband with elastic bottom. If you don't have one, check out World Market! I buy almost all my headbands from there.

-Hair spray to tame fly aways if desired.

Steps:

1. Position the embellished part of the headband on the top of your hairline.

You can opt to comb your hair all back, or have some pieces out in the front. Here I combed my hair all back.

2. Place the elastic part of the headband around the back of your head- on top of your hair.

3. Begin taking small sections of hair along each side of your head and wrap them around the elastic part of the headband, pulling the hair through.

4. Continue to do step #3 until you have gotten to the bottom of your head.

5. Take the remaining hair at the bottom of your head and roll the hair into the elastic.

6. Tame any fly-away's if necessary. I actually like for the hair to look a little messy in this style, so I usually leave any stray pieces as is. I've worn this style a few times and so far it stays in place for hours!

XOXO
