My, my what a busy few weeks its been! I've been all over the place and finally things have calmed down for a little while. Today's Seeing Stripes Day to Night is about how to transition a dress from day to night with minimal effort! This post was inspired by two things- the first being that its summer and we tend to be busier and much more on the go during this time of year (I just lived it the past few weeks!), and the second is I just booked a trip to Europe for this fall and I'm already having anxiety about packing! I've begun brainstorming ideas and looks to minimize packing, and in the process thought it would be a great tip to share with you all since summer is also a time for vacations and weekend getaways! So, read below on a few tips to save you some time and effort while juggling a hectic Saturday schedule, or saving you some space in your luggage!

For this look, I started out with a staple piece- a black and white striped bodycon dress from the Loft Outlet. In terms of dress style, I think the bodycon is easiest to transition from day to night since its easiest to pair with other articles of clothing.

For day: Add casual pieces like Converse and a chambray top or button down left unbuttoned, jean jacket, or military inspired jacket, to give it a casual feel. Don't be afraid to play with the Converse or Superga and dress look! I love the playfulness of this style. Lets face it- its also much more comfortable for running errands all day or walking around on vacation! (Note: whatever you do- stick to sneaker styles similar to Converse or Superga for this look. Crosstrainers or running sneaks are not allowed!)

For night: Trade in your sneaks for some fierce heels and add a leather moto jacket or blazer, or go without a jacket. Pick out a clutch or handbag that adds some glam to the look and compliments the rest of the outfit. Put on some lipstick and perfume and Voila! Ready in 15 min flat!
