NoMa Chic

Yesterday I took Saturday Street Style to Storey Park in NoMa Junction. Storey Park has one of the largest works of public art in the district! Recently, artists were commissioned to create works of art in the park which has resulted in some pretty awesome street art. As you know, I'm a sucker for this creative outlet so I HAD to go see this. Unfortunately, when I went the park itself was closed so I had to peer into the park from a parking lot. From the view, the park looks so very cool and I can't wait to go back and see it in more detail. Take my tip though, to look at their website as the park is only open during events.

Since the park was closed, I did some wandering and ended up at Union Market. Which- if you haven't been- is another place to add to your DC to-do list! Union Market originally opened in 1931 as Union Terminal Market and has evolved through the years to its new face today. Union Market hosts restaurants, food retail shops, and home goods and is the perfect place to spend a Saturday or Sunday morning/afternoon for breakfast/lunch and to buy some groceries. My personal favorites so far are DC Empandas, Takorean, and Mason Dixie, but I still have much more to try! Interested in going? Take your appetite and some friends and check it out!
