On my husband and I's recent (delayed) honeymoon to Europe, we (more so I) decided that we should have pro pictures taken while in Paris. For one- IT'S PARIS, the most beautiful city in the world. Second- why not have gorgeous pictures taken of you and your love in the city of love and light? Am I right? So, in efforts to find a photographer I turned to Instagram to help in my search. I searched hashtags like #parispictures #parisphotography and more, and came up with many beautiful pictures...the problem was when I reached out to these photographers for a price estimate- a one hour session cost upwards of $500+! Now I'm no cheapskate by any means, but I did find this price to be a bit high for a 1 hour session. I get it, supply and demand- and photographers are definitely in high demand in Paris. But, I wasn't satisfied with this price so I kept looking on Instagram. I finally came across Daria Lorman Photography. Her pictures were fantastic- and just what I wanted. After looking at her website, I reached out to her and booked instantly. I liked most that she is a one-woman show and working hard to run her photography business in Paris and around the world. Her prices are also affordable over the previous photographers I had reached out to and she also gives you all the images she takes. She also was very responsive to emails and always replied within a short timeframe and was very accommodating during the coordination of dates, location, and session details.
The evening of the session we met Daria and instantly felt as if I had known her for years. She was friendly, had a great sense of humor, and knew exactly where we needed to go around Trocadéro to get the best views for pictures of the Eiffel Tower in the background. She was telling us how to pose, where to look, etc which greatly helped put us at ease during the photos. Although we only had an hour scheduled, Daria was able to snap pictures and move us to other locations quickly so we had the best use of our time and covered a lot of ground, which was great since our pictures have many different views.
Our pictures turned out to be magical! They are truly everything I had envisioned and more. Our selection of photos is fantastic and to be honest, I don't think I can pick one favorite- because they are all that good! Daria also had the pictures sent within about 2 weeks which is a great turnaround for photos. If you are planning any upcoming trips to Paris, I highly recommend reaching out to Daria for a photo sesh. She also is willing to travel, so keep that in mind as well if you have other upcoming trips or events planned that you want fond memories of!
