I have just found the perfect commuting accessory every woman needs ASAP! Ladies, meet Two Sisters Accessories, a woman-owned business that specializes in fashionable shoe totes for women on the go-which covers most of us here in the DC Metro area!
As a commuting woman, I am always looking for chic ways of transporting all my goods to and from work without looking like a bag lady. My most important “goods” are my beloved heels- which often times get thrown in my purse or in a reusable tote bag as I run out the door to catch the bus in my run-for-the-bus appropriate flats. Sure this works, but it isn’t very chic for your shoes to be falling out of your bag as you dig for your Metrocard (I speak from experience), or for your shoes to get scuffed by other items in your purse (also speaking from experience).
Thanks to Instagram, I came across Two Sisters Accessories and was drawn to their shoe totes for a few reasons- one, the concept is great and I love the functionality of the tote; two, I love it is a woman-owned business; three, the totes are handmade in the US; and four, the fun patterns of the totes! After exchanging numerous Instagram likes with Two Sisters that evolved to emails, I decided to give the shoe tote a try as I knew it would greatly ease my commuting woes and protect my heels all while looking stylish.
I’ve had my Two Sisters tote now for almost two weeks and I am totally digging it! The bag is so easy to carry with its long straps and sits comfortably on the shoulder either alone or on top of your purse strap. I chose the Tangerine pattern since I am almost always in #allblackeverything and wanted a bright tote to add color to my ensemble and I love that it does just that and adds some happiness to the recent rainy days in DC. The tote can take you from professional office setting to happy hour, making it easy to switch from heels to flats, back to heels, then flats again, without digging in your purse (an added bonus- it looks much better on the back of your seat at a conference table or barstool than a reusable tote!). I’ve decided this tote is my new favorite commuter accessory and I know I’m going to use it on repeat for the upcoming summer months.
