To piggy back on my FAB Friday post from three weeks ago, I recently had the pleasure of checking out Stitch Fix. Stitch Fix is a subscription based monthly styling service that is catered to your personal style. When you register for Stitch Fix, you fill out a style survey that includes your likes/dislikes, and gives you the option to prioritize certain apparel. I decided to utilize Stitch Fix to focus on tops and sweaters, as tops are something I lack in my closet. I have dresses and skirts up the wazoo, but I always find myself needing a broader selection of tops. Stitch Fix has been sending me great selections in my recent fixes and I have a handful of new sweaters that I wouldn't have otherwise had.
I have mixed feelings about sweaters. I am extremely picky about the fabric - I cannot handle itchy fabrics, and they must be lighter weight because I always seem to overheat in them. Also, being curvy, I like sweaters that still show off my figure and are flattering on my shape, instead of boxier or oversized styles. The styles that Stitch Fix has sent me are lighter weight soft fabrics, flattering, AND have fun details to turn the sweater up a notch. When I say up a notch, I mean fun details like choker necks, faux wraps, and cut outs. These details can make all the difference and I'm loving that sweaters with fun details are big this year.
As I've been seeing this detail trend in sweaters, I decided to do a round up of sweaters in all inclusive sizing options that have great details, such a ruffles, cut outs, flare sleeves, off the shoulder, embellishment, and more. This selection of sweaters will keep you looking super stylish and chic this fall/winter and can be worn with a variety of bottoms like leather skirts/pants, jeans, suede, and more. They can even be layered under jumpers and slip dresses to pack some extra punch. All of the sweaters are $100 or less, and some are even on sale for the weekend!
