The BITD Local DC Gift Guide

Shopping local. It is something that I always value doing to support the community. My husband is a small business owner and I have seen first hand everything that goes into running a business, and the number one thing we depend on is business from the community. Having seen this first hand and having gotten to know a number of small business owners in DC <some of which I can call friends!> I am a huge advocate for shopping small. When presented the opportunity, I will <almost> always choose a small locally owned business over a larger business.

For the holidays, this is the prime time to shop small and shop local. To help support the local community, each year, I compile a Local DC Gift Guide with gift ideas for a variety of places in and immediately surrounding the District. This years guide is the largest yet, with 40 listings! I hope this list gives you some gift ideas and introduces you to some spots you may not have known before! Happy DC Shopping!
