I’m currently writing this post on mobile as I head to Middleburg, VA for the New Years Weekend. My good friend Sara is getting married tonight and we are staying the weekend to ring in 2018 with close long-time friends. I was hoping to have the time to get this post written before leaving, but, you know, real life happens and of course I was running around getting last minute things done. I’ve never posted directly from mobile, so if it doesn’t look like my other posts, that’s why.

The end of the year is always a time for reflection. 2017 was an incredible year for BITD. I attended New York Fashion Week for the first time which has been a long time dream of mine. I met many new amazing people. I was featured in publications and campaigns with national brands. I received an award for my body positive work. This year was truly a year of achieving dreams and looking back over what I accomplished, I am stunned and humbled. 2017 was also a year of learning. I learned a lot about myself and about the blogging business. I learned that people will let you down, and people will use you to get ahead. I guess that’s why there’s the saying “you have to take the good with the bad.” While these experiences aren’t always the best, it’s the experience that I’m grateful for so I can be prepared and better equipped to take on 2018.

The thing I’m most thankful for is all of you. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for following and being dedicated to BITD. Thank you for reading my blog and for following this journey. Without dedicated readers, my blog would be nothing. You all are the real MVP of 2017 and I wish you all the best wishes for an amazing and joyous 2018. I love you all.
