VEGAS #XOQ

Last week I spent 8 days in Fabulous Las Vegas. 8 days may seem like too much to some, but to me, its just right <I love Vegas!>. The purpose of our trip was for a work conference for The UPS Store (we own the location in Old Town Alexandria!), but my husband and I tacked on time the weekend before the conference started to have some fun!

Packing for 8 days in Vegas can seem like a burden. If you're like me, you over pack, unpack, re- over pack again right before your flight. This trip I'd say I did pretty well packing, surprisingly, and I took a number of ELOQUII items, as we all know ELOQUII is my clothing bae. The ELOQUII pieces I packed turned out to be perfect for my trip and gave me the idea to write this post on the 5 ELOQUII items any girl needs for a summer vacation! Enjoy!

A Lightweight Dress/Set

I wore this ELOQUII Button Down Fit and Flare Dress for a day wandering our resort, the Wynn, and attending a conference luncheon with my husband. I loved this dress because the material was so light in the Vegas heat and was super airy. I love the vintage feel of this dress also- especially for Vegas - and how it made me feel super classy!

A Fab Swimsuit!

If you're going on any summer vacation to a warm place, a fabulous swimsuit is 100% necessary. The ELOQUII swim line is by far one of my favorites as the fit is literally the best. I actually surprised myself on this trip, and made an outfit that I hadn't planned to wear, which included my swimsuit! For my trip, I packed the ELOQUII Cross Halter One Piece for the pool parties and pool lounging I had in store. The great thing about this swim piece, was the halter top which actually looks like a legit top! I was heading down to soak up the pool on my last full day in Vegas and I wasn't feeling the cover-up I had. I decided to try layering a skirt on top of the suit, and I was SO surprised at how much my swimsuit and skirt looked like a real outfit! I wore the skirt with my swimsuit to the pool and I felt totally comfortable walking through the casino and grabbing lunch in this look! You wouldn't have even known I was wearing a swimsuit until I took off the skirt at the pool! From now on, I'm advocating for wearing fabulous one pieces with a matching skirt, which is perfect to wear when you'll be out for awhile and still want to look put together before/after your pool/beach time!

A Wrap Dress

I'm convinced a wrap dress is flattering on everyone. I wore this ELOQUII Blocked Sleeve Wrap Dress as I did some work and grabbed brunch during the day, as I stopped by one of my fave locations in Vegas- The Cosmopolitan and City Center, during the later afternoon/evening, and into the night to see Mariah Carey at Caesar's Palace. What I love about a great printed wrap dress is the wearability- especially on vacation! This dress was a great balance as it was a fun, flashy print which was perfect for pretty much any daytime activity, and the high-low skirt part added a flirty touch, making it perfect for the evening, too!

A Party Dress

You should never pack a suitcase without a party dress. Call me crazy, but you never know how your vacation may play out, so being prepared is key! Especially for women who are cusp or plus size, shopping on vacation can be really hard! Its not as easy to go out and find a party dress in a nearby shop or mall, so I always bring a party dress in my suitcase wherever I go so I'm prepared. Our last night in Vegas I attended The UPS Store Awards Gala with my husband and it was black tie optional. I of course had to pack my ELOQUII gold sequin dress, because I wear it any excuse I can get, lol. This dress is no longer available online, but ELOQUII has some great other party picks that are perfect for a planned <or unexpected> night out!

A Maxi Dress

Full disclosure here- I didn't have a ELOQUII maxi, but I wish I had packed one! The whole trip I was wishing I had packed a great maxi dress and it was the one item I didn't bring. There are a few reasons why I love a great maxi on travel - they can be worn during the day or at night and double as a formal look if needed <with the right accessories!>, they are so easy and comfortable to wear, they can make you feel put together in a second, and they are great for flights since they are long and can keep your legs warm on cold flights/trains/buses! Did I mention they are comfortable?! ;)
