The first time I visited Positano in 2015, it took me awhile to be able to articulate my experience into words. Of the places I’ve visited in my lifetime, there has been no place quite like Positano. On my recent trip to Italy with my Aunt Pam, I was reminded of this feeling, and I wanted to accurately capture this feeling on the trip to share with you.
I originally wasn’t planning to hire a photographer while in Positano, but as our trip drew closer I decided to change my mind. Not hiring a professional photographer in 2015 to capture the magic which evokes my feelings there was something I always regretted. I decided last minute to hire Andrea Gallucci, a photographer based on the Amalfi Coast, for an early morning session for my Aunt & I. I wanted us both to have professional photos we could vividly remember the trip by, and not just selfies on our iPhones as we had gotten accustomed to in Rome.
I booked Andrea through Flytographer and the process was extremely easy and straight forward. I entered information about the desired shoot and after Andrea accepted, we were able to go back and forth to plan and finalize the logistics. We were also able to connect via Instagram before the shoot so we could see each other’s aesthetics, etc.
Our 30 minute shoot was absolutely perfect. Andrea knew all the best spots for the iconic Positano magic I had requested, and we were able to capture a great range of photos together. I am so happy with the outcome of the photos and I will definitely hire Andrea again on my next trip to Positano. Today I wanted to share the photos in hopes they convey the special feeling that enwraps Positano and that it may inspire you to travel back to a destination you love or have yet to visit.
