My Five Fave Summer Sandals

Updated: Aug 12

Its been awhile since I've shared a post dedicated sole-ly to shoes (haha, get it, sole?), so today I'm sharing my summer sole faves! Normally my shoe collection is much greater as I love to buy trendy shoes each season, however this year things are different since we are spending much more time at home and much less time at events and activities.

Wearing the Loeffler Randall Penny Knot Mule Sandal

Even though I love a trendy shoe, I normally spend my money on shoes I know will last me a longer time. For summer especially, I have found that I keep coming back to classic shoes I know will last me longer and go with more- especially during this COVID time. I have been wearing essentially the same 5 sandals on repeat since May, so I decided to share my 5 picks with details on why I love them. Here it goes....

The casual everyday sandal

First of all, the price point on these is incredible at just $45, and second, they will last you years! I've owned my pair of Adidas slides since 2017 and they have absolutely no signs of wear and tear. They are extremely comfortable, easy to slide on/off, go with literally anything, and are nostalgic. I wear these sandals literally almost everyday for coffee runs, errands, or casual outings.

The elevated everyday sandal

Another classic summer sandal that I've been wearing for about 15 years are Jack Rogers! These sandals are timeless to me and they also go with almost everything and look especially great with summer dresses. They also come in a ton of colors although I typically stick with gold since they will match more options.

The designer everyday sandal

Ok, so I DID treat myself to these fun Chloe sandals back in April when I didn't think COVID would be running into the summer, but I'm so happy I treated myself. These sandals have been so worth the money and I've gotten a ton of wear out of them. They're also comfortable and I can wear them for hours. They are perfect to wear for day or evening and I have found they match so many of my summer clothes, are effortless, and will be in my closet for summers to come. They also come in black and white!

The comfortable sporty-chic sandal

One TRENDY shoe on my list is the sporty sandal trend- I'm seeing it everywhere and I think it will be back next summer, too. I found these Loeffler Randall Maisie sandals on sale on Shop Bop and decided to scoop them up as I wanted more comfortable "I can walk miles in these since I'm not taking Ubers" sandal. A play on the Teva sandal, these are fancy and stylish with bows and floral print. They are the most comfortable sandal I own and everywhere I go I get tons of compliments on them!

The fancy chic sandal

Another Loeffler Randall fave, their classic penny knot mule sandal is STILL a favorite of mine. I bought myself a pair in 2018 and they are still one of my go-to picks for summer sandals. Another goes with everything shoe, this mule is perfect for any dressier occasion and are comfortable enough to stand and walk in for long periods of time. So, if you do end up having a socially distant event or more formal gathering to go to, or if you just want to get dressy for a date night dinner reservation- these are always a great option!
