In 2016, after realizing there was a lack of inclusive blogger networking groups in the DC area, Dani created Bubbles & Bloggers- a monthly meet up for local bloggers to meet and connect over brunch. Bubbles & Bloggers grew to over 200+ members and with the growth, the monthly meet-ups out grew brunch and spanned happy hours, wine tours, workout classes, shopping events, and more. With the continued interest of other creatives who weren't bloggers to join Bubbles & Bloggers, Dani came up with the idea to re-brand the group, to encompass all creatives, instead of bloggers only. As of April 2019, The District Creates was born for the DC local influencing and creative community.

The District Creates is a place for bloggers, influencers, artists, photographers, stylists, local business owners, and more, to meet in an inclusive social setting and promotes community and support among the otherwise competitive industry. We welcome creatives of all kinds, with the stipulation that each creative must have a valid and up-to-date website or social media page dedicated to their work in order to join.

The name The District Creates envisions the goals of the group to create content, collaborations, connections, friendships, partnership, and most importantly- inspiration, all within an inclusive and supportive community for DC influencers and creatives.

Dani Sauter

Founder, Blonde in the District / The District Creates

Dani Sauter is the founder of Blonde in the District, a popular Washington DC Style, Beauty, and Travel Blog focused on body positivity and encouraging women to find their confidence through style. Dani created Blonde in the District in October 2014 after leaving a job that stripped her of her creativity and passions. She turned to blogging as a creative outlet with the goal to reach and identify with women and show how style and beauty helped to build her confidence.

Since the creation of Blonde in the District, Dani has worked with over 150 local and national brands which includes editorial and print modeling for runway shows and online campaigns, features in local and national websites, and local television and radio. In 2017, Dani was honored with the National Curves Day, Inc. Body Confidence Award for her work in promoting confidence and body positivity; and in 2018 was named a DC Trendsetter by Washington Life Magazine.

Community Manager, The District Creates

Founder, TheCaroLove

Caroline Downing Price of The CaroLøve has been blogging since early 2014, originally on Little Bitty City One. What started as selfies has turned into frank messages about living life as a young professional in DC. Her blog still includes style, but has expanded into self care, self love, and dealing with hard things like loss. Additionally, Caroline's love of weddings didn't fade after her own in April 2018, and she cranks out a ton of wedding content.

By day, she's an administrative assistant. By night, she enjoys a good margarita, good food, and laughing a lot with her husband, Kendall, and her girl-gang. Her spirit animal is Marie from The Aristocats and she'd much rather be in sparkly sneakers than heels. Twitter > Instagram forever. Check out her blog for a lot of sass, a little glitter, a pinch of novelty, and 100% authenticity.
