To follow up on my last post about the PFW Runways Trends, I'm sharing the details on this over the top look that I wore to stand out and show my character at the PFW shows!

Since all the shows I attended were on one day and all for the most part back-to-back, I decided to go with a look that was fun, comfortable, and had character, that could go from show to show. I decided on this heart set from the Atlantic Pacific x Halogen collection, an ELOQUII polka dot top, white boots, tons of hair clips, and for a pop of color, my red bag!

I wanted to stand out and not wear something expected, and I felt this look was perfect for the shows, even if the Paris crowd is a bit mo...

One of the main reasons I attend Fashion Week is to not only to get major inspiration, but I go to see the upcoming trends! The runway shows at Fashion Week are a first glimpse into whats coming up and what we can expect in fashion. The designers are who set the tone for fashion and trends are based all around designers collections. Not following? I'll leave this Devil Wears Prada link right here for some added defining, lol.

I find it so exciting to see this first hand and start planning looks that will soon be all over street style and in stores! In addition to seeing the upcoming trends, my other favorite thing about fashion week is to see what other fashion week go...

To kick off a full day of fashion shows for the main Paris Fashion Week day of my trip, I decided to go full on Parisian chic for a morning shoot at the Louvre followed by coffee and croissants!

From my trips to Paris, I have learned that the color palette of Parisian women is black, black, and more black, lol. If you see someone is a super loud outfit in Paris, its almost a given that they are not Parisian! In the winter months I noticed that the fun self expression in outfits comes from tights! Tights are super big in Paris and I noticed it in December over the holidays. Either black dresses, mini skirts, or even shorts, paired with patterned tights and boots-...

One of the most magical things about Paris is what you'll encounter during your time there. Gorgeous streets, interesting people, fluffy cats perched on cafe tables, and perfectly behaved dogs walking the streets without leashes- you literally see it all in Paris. <Yes, I totally saw a fluffy cat casually sitting at a table in a cafe this trip, lol, it was my favorite thing I've ever seen in Paris>. What you don't always see is the intricate, characteristic courtyards that adorn many of the apartment buildings behind traditional French doors. Behind these doors is a whole other side of Paris- one that is local to its residents.

Since we stayed in an Airbnb right o...

While in Paris over fashion week, we dedicated our last day to exploring and taking things easy. While it was pouring rain most of the day, we still made the best of it and explored the Place des Vosges which was right next to our Airbnb rental, and also- mostly covered! The Place des Vosges (originally place Royale) is Paris's oldest planned square and was built by Henry IV in 1605-1612. To this day it is absolutely stunning with amazing architecture and serves as a meeting place for arts, food, and culture within Le Marais.

(Fun fact: when David and I went to Paris in December, he ordered his first - and last - Steak Tartare at a restaurant in Place des Vosges,...
