WOW. On this day, five years ago, I hit "publish" on my first ever blog post. I still remember everything about it- where I was sitting, what I was wearing, what I was thinking. I was excited, but not for the future. I was excited to simply have a creative outlet for myself that I hoped would eventually impact other women's lives in a positive way. At the time I had no idea what BITD would grow to be, and I have to admit I'm really f*$king proud of how much I have grown and how much I have accomplished in the past 5 years. I want to also thank you- yes you, reading this post!- for the support and readership through the years- it honestly means the world to me.

To celebrate my 5 year blogiversary, I wanted to create. In the past 5 years, I have come to learn that I am happiest when I am creating. Creating content, creating positivity, creating a bridge to fill the gap of size inclusivity and bias against women having to be seen as a certain size, creating self love, and creating a voice for other women who can relate to me.

I thought about creating a blog post with all my lessons learned, but I decided to turn to creating visuals instead to convey my current mindset.

Studio 54 meets futuristic space. A homage to the past, with plans to look towards the future.
