7 years of BITD !!! On this day 7 years ago, I hit ‘publish’ on this website & my life has since been forever changed ✨

A LOT has happened in 7 years and while things may always look or seem glamorous, I can promise you there have been a lot of not-so-glamorous moments, too.

Every year I like to celebrate my blog anniversary with a creative visual. When thinking what I wanted to do this year, I wanted to convey that exact feeling - the beauty in the breakdown. The emotion that no one sees on the outside of this glittery facade.

The past year has been especially hard on me (& many others, I know) & my blog business & I wanted to lean in to the fact that this is hard work. The blood, sweat, and tears that go into running a business is something that isn’t talked about as much as the wins. While it is important to focus on wins & success, there is something beautiful about the losses and fails - learning experiences that make us better, give us thicker skin, or teach us a lesson.

The moments that make us look inside ourselves and grow and shift and evolve and stay relevant - although it may not seem like it at the time - they are beautiful, too.
