For my entire life, sizing has been a style challenge for me. Before I really identified with plus apparel, I would find myself shopping in stores desperate to find something that fit. I had a small list of go-to stores that I would frequent and rely on to still fit my curves with their sizing standards. One of these stores was LOFT. I have personally been a LOFT shopper for many, many years. While I've had issues with sizing for some of their pieces, LOFT was one of the only "straight" stores that I could walk into knowing I'd find something that could fit my curves. It would sometimes be a toss up on what would fit, depending on the style of the item, but I consistently had success. While I've had success with this brand for some time, there were things like their jeans, pants, and certain dresses that were just off limits for me. Until now....
LOFT is now offering their range of day to night styles in sizes from 16-26. The collection is amazing- it is the perfect balance of weekend casual to date night style - which is one of the things I love about the brand and the ability to wear their clothing multiple ways for many occasions. Their clothing can take you from work to post-work drinks with a friend with ease, and the quality is always great, as are the price points. Another thing I love about LOFT, is you always know that you are getting quality. I still wear some items from LOFT that I've had for 3+ years! When the plus line launched online, I was so excited to view the goods. Since I'm a dress girl, I gravitated towards their dresses when I first looked at the line, as I firmly believe you can never have too many dresses. I ended up picking two dresses to give the plus sizing a try- the LOFT Plus Paisley Wrap Midi Dress, since it gave me happy spring vibes; and the LOFT Plus Ponte Flounce Dress, because I love a great LBD! Both dresses fit me perfectly and it literally feels like the dresses were made just for me. The plus line also carries jeans, skirts, pants, tops, jackets, and sweaters- all of which are fabulous.
I am so excited that LOFT has launched plus sizing to meet the plus community and I can't wait to try more of the line. I'm especially excited to try the jeans selection, since jeans with LOFT have been so off limits for me in the past! I'm even more excited that I will get to try them on in-person, this Thursday, February 15 at the Plus Pop-Up at the Loft in Tysons Corner, which I'm helping to host! And guess what, you're invited! To celebrate the plus launch, LOFT is hosting Plus Pop-Up Shops around the country. Lucky for us Washingtonians, we have a chance of catching the plus pop-up this month in the area, and I’m so very happy to say I’m co-hosting with LOFT! The event is tomorrow, Thursday, February 15 from 6-9pm at the Tyson’s Corner location in the mall (7974A Tysons Corner Center, McLean VA).
