With the holiday season approaching fast, now is the time to lock in plans for fun holiday/winter inspired events and activities. Luckily, in DC you don't have to go too far to find amazing activities that will be sure to warm your spirit and let you revel in this magical time of year. One of these activities is BOURBON on Ice at the Four Seasons Hotel in Georgetown.
A few weeks ago I was invited to a preview of BOURBON on Ice at the Four Seasons Hotel. The name BOURBON on Ice comes from the hotels famed restaurant, BOURBON STEAK (which is incredible, FYI!) which transformed their patio into an "urban wonderland" complete with luxurious (and heated) ice domes to give Washingtonians and hotel guests alike a unique and chic way of dining al fresco all winter long.
The luxurious ice domes are all heated and themed Cozy & Chic, Caviar & Champagne, and Cigar & Cognac with decor to match each theme. The domes can hold groups of up to 6 comfortably, and the full cocktail and dining menu from BOURBON STEAK is available. In addition, there are specialty Alpine dining and cocktail options that were created specially for the ice domes and can only be ordered from within the domes.
Two of the ice domes have a laid back lounge feel that is perfect for sipping cocktails and sharing hors d'oeuvres with close friends or family. The third ice dome is specially designed for dining, which would be amazing for a intimate dinner with a significant other, or friends and family. At BOURBON on Ice, I felt like I had been transported to the Alps and loved the sense of wonder and happiness it made me feel.
