NYFW FW19: What I Wore

As you may have read in my other posts about New York Fashion Week (NYFW), that one of my favorite things about it is the street style and seeing what everyone wears to the shows! You literally see everything. So, this year I knew I needed to bring it, too, and wear some street style goodness.

Today I'm recapping everything I wore at NYFW, and sharing the details behind the inspo and where to find the exact or similar pieces!

Look 1:

Knowing we'd be going to shows literally straight off the train (I'm not even joking- we had to change in a hotel's basement bathroom and store our luggage at a bodega through Bounce, since our Airbnb wasn't ready before our first 2 shows), I decided to go with a look that I didn't have to worry about the material being wrinkled from being stored in my suitcase on the train. I wore this silver metallic dress from ASOS, a metallic moto jacket from ELOQUII, my FAVORITE ELOQUII white boots (ELOQUII PLEASE BRING THESE BACK!!!!!!!), and a metallic pink, red, and purple mini bag by Gucci. This look was perfect for the weather that day in the 50's and was comfortable for standing in the long lines for the shows.

Look 2:

After checking into our Airbnb, I was able to be a bit more creative with my looks and could pile on accessories and steam my dresses easily. So, I decided on this ASOS fringe dress worn over top a sheer bodysuit, black tights for warmth since the evening had gotten colder, black Marc Fisher booties, a vintage thick gold necklace, gold earrings, and a faux fur from Rent the Runway.

Look 3:

I knew Saturday was going to be a big day, so I saved this look specifically for the day. Since it was the day of the Flying Solo show, I wanted to wear something crazy, so I wore my neon green snake jacket from Pretty Little Thing (DISCLAIMER- this jacket smells like cheap plastic and it is loud AF, but its amazing), a giraffe print wrap dress from ASOS, crazy fun and metallic-ish earrings from ALDO, and of course my favorite ELOQUII white boots. This look wasn't the best weather wise- it was freeeezing this day, but my plastic neon jacket surprisingly keep me semi-warm, lol. Oh the things we do for fashion.

Neon Snakeskin Jacket available here.

Look 4:

For Saturday night, we ended up skipping the evening shows because we were so tired of lines and rushing around, so we took the time to shoot fun content in Times Square instead! This look is what I had intended on wearing to the evening shows, so I still wore it for the fun photos and for late dinner at Pizza Loves Emily with the girls! I layered a ELOQUII sequin trench on top of an ASOS kimono style wrap dress, thigh high leopard boots, and I added a touch of character to the look with my vintage lapel pins that spell out my name, from Diament Jewelry.

Look 5:

For the last day in NYFW, I was purely going for comfort here. I was tired, cold, and my feet hurt, lol. I wore this comfy ELOQUII pajama suit set with an over-sized leopard jacket, and ELOQUII kitten heel metallic booties. I felt put together, although I didn't feel it internally at all- that's the great thing about coordinating sets- minimal effort but maximum style!

Look 6:

To travel home, I went the comfy route. I was itching for my couch and cozy blankets by this point, so I wore leggings, a black turtleneck, ELOQUII metallic moto jacket, and my Yeezy sneakers to get me home to my couch!

XOXO
