Talbots x Oprah Magazine for Dress for Success

One of the main reasons I started Blonde in the District was to promote confidence through style to women of all shapes, sizes, and ages. I have turned to style as not only a way to express myself, but to give myself that extra "oomph" when I need it. I always feel better about myself when I know I look good, and it helps me feel more confident, especially in the work place.

This month I partnered with Talbots on the launch of their newest capsule collection for O, The Oprah Magazine Collection, which supports the nonprofit organization, Dress for Success. Dress for Success is an organization that empowers women in need by providing professional attire and development tools to help them succeed in the workplace. Empowering women is something I firmly believe in, and empowering women to feel confident through style is what I live for, so this partnership is one I'm very excited about.

The Talbots x Oprah Magazine collection consists of five limited edition items, which were all designed with comfort in mind. Inspired by the thought that women should look and feel good on the go. With a selection of 2 tops, 1 light weight jacket, a pair of pants, and maxi dress, this collection is perfect for women on the go and the best part is 30% of the proceeds will be donated to Dress for Success. The collection is available now through March 31 in store and online in sizes XS-3X and petite. I ordered The Maxi Dress from the collection and the fit is perfect, true to size, and the comfort level is through the roof. It's also versatile enough to be worn casually with flat sandals or fashion sneakers- perfect for traveling or running errands, or can be dressed up with ankle boots and a Moto jacket, as I wore here!

In addition to the Talbots x O, The Oprah Magazine collection, I decided to try a few other items from Talbots that were work inspired with a twist. I love the thought of a matching skirt and top combo for work, and altering it to go from work to happy hour or out on the town! This look is perfect for spring work days with the top fully tucked in. For after-hours fun, I tied up the shirt in a side knot to give it a fun and flirty touch! This is such a fun take on work to play attire - not to mention, this look makes me feel full of life and confident!

Shop the look: Talbots Banded-Collar Popover Top - Floral ($69.30) & Floral Pencil Skirt ($109), available here!
