Wow guys, where did the summer go? Seriously. I feel like its been a weird summer. For one, I haven't been to the beach once since the official start of summer, and I likely won't make it to one before the official end of summer (le sigh). Second, things have been crazy! I'm not sure if I've shared the news, but in June I began working with a manager, Alexandra Boos, and we have completely hit the ground running. While I've been doing a ton of content sharing over on Instagram, I found that I've been focusing most of my energy on social platforms over my blog.
If there's one thing thats been for sure this summer, though, is I've been totally guilty of repeating looks. One look I've been repeating literally nonstop is this Nordstrom x Gibson Hot Summer Nights Midi Red Snakeskin Skirt that was sent to me in one of my Trunk Club Trunks earlier this summer. To say I've worn this skirt into the ground would be an understatement. I've worn this skirt with a basic black and white tee/tank (yes- I've done all variations, lol) for daytime, with this off the shoulder top for an elevated casual and nighttime look, and with a sheer top and heels for a night out. I've worn it with Adidas slides, Vans sneakers, heels, sandals, and I can't wait to wear it with boots for fall.
The fit of the skirt is absolutely perfect and I love that it fits my shape like a glove. I have such a hard time finding skirts that fit me well, so maybe this is another factor of why I've been wearing it nonstop. It's also comfortable AF and the perfect midi length (I'm 5'6- 5'7 on a good day). And even though at first glance the print may seem like its not a versatile piece, I've found it to be the complete opposite! I can't wait to style it with denim and Moto jackets, boots, and sweaters for fall, too.
The best thing about this skirt is the price. At $72, it is totally affordable when you consider the wearability of it through seasons and all the various ways you can style it. It also comes in a zebra print, so I'm thinking I need to add that to my collection too, before anyone thinks this red skirt is the only bottom I own, lol!!
