One of the main reasons I attend Fashion Week is to not only to get major inspiration, but I go to see the upcoming trends! The runway shows at Fashion Week are a first glimpse into whats coming up and what we can expect in fashion. The designers are who set the tone for fashion and trends are based all around designers collections. Not following? I'll leave this Devil Wears Prada link right here for some added defining, lol.
I find it so exciting to see this first hand and start planning looks that will soon be all over street style and in stores! In addition to seeing the upcoming trends, my other favorite thing about fashion week is to see what other fashion week goers WEAR! I'll admit that Paris was actually a bit more tame than what you see in NYC for NYFW, but Paris has a different style profile than NYC overall. I saw much more subdued looks, yet were classy and stylish AF. The crowds were so different but I still loved witnessing the PFW street style nonetheless. If anything, it inspired me to not always be so over the top with my looks!
Speaking of over the top, I actually decided to go with this look so I'd stand out and also show character, and wore this look to the shows:

From the runways of the shows I saw, these are the biggest trends I saw and am expecting to be huge the next few seasons. I tried to get pictures as much as I could, but at shows it can be SO hard to snap a good pic, so the below is the best of what I got!
1. Suits with Bermuda shorts or hot pants
Suits with shorts are going to be hot, hot, hot- literally! From Bermuda shorts to teeny tiny shorts, the shorts look is BACK. Expect it to be super in this spring/summer.
2. Big shoulders and sleeves
This trend has been around since fall and its not going anywhere. Think any sort of sleeve detail, overstated shoulders, and even disco collars- the bigger the better!
3. Belts!!
From wide belts to chain belts to skinny belts, I noticed a ton of belts at the shows!

4. Monochrome looks
Another look thats been around for a bit, monochromatic looks from head-to-toe are a classy hit.
5. Masculine shoes with feminine clothes
Think brogues/oxfords with flirty, feminine dresses! Get yourself a pair ASAP!
6. Super tailored suiting and jackets
Well tailored suits, suit separates, and jackets RULED the runways! Camel, gray, or plaid were the top colors!
