Its been awhile since I've done a FAB Friday, so todays is coming in hot with The Embassy Row Hotel! The Embassy Row is a hotel I have always liked and known since it opened. Not only is it known for their angel wings mural, but they have one of the best rooftops in all of DC. I'm pretty sure its even been voted the best roof in DC.
When I was approached to work with the hotel on a promotional video, I jumped at the chance to work with them and build a relationship. The concept of the video was to promote not only the hotel, but DC as a whole and show off some of the best parts of DC, and how you can experience DC while staying at The Embassy Row.
I spent a weekend in May with Sarah and Kela of The Embassy Row, and fellow DC Bloggers Spicy Candy, DC Fashion Fool, and Rock Your Rizos. We visited DC hotspots and even got special treatment while filming. For instance, we met the owner of Compass Coffee who legit walked us through the roasting process and shared secrets of their coffee (which I swore to take to the grave, lol!), we met the manager of Union Market and were allowed roof access (I was so freaking excited about this one!) and we were allowed early entrance to The Phillips Collection. It was truly a special weekend and I personally got to experience DC in a different way, too. The video came out awesome and was recently published online. The video is even on the hotels homepage, so I feel extra special!

This post was inspired for FAB Friday of course, but also because I'm doing a staycation at The Embassy Row Hotel this weekend with my best friend on the entire planet, Erin, who is visiting from Asheville, NC! Erin and I grew up together and have been friends since elementary school- over 25 years!- and I am so excited for her to experience DC at Embassy Row!
