Perhaps you recall that lavender wide leg suit I wore time and time again last spring. The suit I'm referring to was a huge hit among ELOQUII fans and I heard from a little bird that its coming out in more colors soon (eeeek!!).
While I'm waiting on one of my favorite suits I've ever owned to drop in more colors, I've taken it upon myself to explore other ELOQUII suits, as I'm seeing power suits to be hot Hot HOT this fall/winter. I don't own enough coordinating suits, so recently I went on a suit kick and got two new statement XOQ power suits.
I saw the Pinstripe Cascade Detail Blazer and Pinstripe Trousers online, but since I sometimes have trouble with the fitting of pants, I actually went in-store to try the suit on at the Pentagon City location. The suit fit perfectly (FYI I size up one size in ELOQUII pants normally), and I walked out with it eager to wear it. I ended up wearing it the very next day for a Birthday Celebration for Simply Sylvia at Alhambria in the St. Regis Hotel.
What I love most about these pinstripe trousers and blazer is the masculine pinstripe design, with feminine touches like the ruffled fabric detail on the hip or the deep neckline. I styled it with a pair of white booties (FYI- I scored these Stuart Weitzman boots at Nordstrom Rack Pentagon City for $60- original price is $598!!! Best deal I've found in awhile and I'm really proud, lol), a vintage choker to add some more femininity, and a playful bag that I currently have on rent from Rent the Runway Unlimited.
I felt like a million bucks in this pinstripe suit and I loved that I still felt fashion forward and stylish- even in a full suit! Wearing suits is normally outside of my comfort zone, so I'm happy that I pushed myself to try something new and look at suiting as an option not just for the office. My love for suits started with the lavender suit, and slowly I'm growing my collection of power suits! Today I'm linking some FABULOUS statement power suits for fall, available at ELOQUII now.
