With the deadline to order gifts online coming up, I'm focusing my next few gift guides on items that you can find locally in DC, because if you're like me, you have procrastinated on a few items and will need to go shopping this weekend in all the masses. LOL, lucky us!
I recently had the opportunity to work with one of my favorite jewelry designers, Alexis Bittar, on the brand new winter collection. The collection is pure fire and I wanted to share a few pieces with you to show the line, but also to give some ideas for gifts if you're still stumped on what to gift your significant other, mom, sister, aunt, etc. You can find Alexis Bittar locally at their new DC boutique in City Center, or at Nordstrom Tysons Corner.
I still remember the first time I saw Alexis Bittar jewelry. I saw these amazing blue Lucite hoop earrings worn by Samantha Jones in Sex and the City, and I still remember thinking "I WANT THOSE EARRINGS!" I found out they were by Alexis Bittar, and I have loved the brand ever since. I even bought a identical pair of the Sam Jones earrings in an emerald green which I wore literally every day for a year, as I bought them as a gift for myself in my very early 20's on a DC intern salary, so they meant a lot to me, lol.

Alexis Bittar has worked with the most high profile celebrities and his Lucite designs can be recognized in many publications and fashion editorials. Most known for the Lucite bangles, his designs are unique to his brand- if you are familiar with his work, you'll be able to recognize his designs instantly. What I like about the brand most, is the range of styles and beautiful designs that will last for years.
